Biscuits & Sage Sausage Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Foris Extraordinary Meats Sage Sausage
- 3-4 T. All-Purpose Flour
- 4 c. Milk
- 5-10 dashes Hot Sauce
- 1/2 t. Sage, ground
- 1/2 t. Garlic Powder
- 1/2 t. Fennel, ground
- 1/2 t. Onion Powder
- Salt to taste
Method
Prepare preferred biscuits.
Remove the casings and brown the sausage over medium heat in a medium sauce pan. Crumble half the sausage into small pieces. Once the sausage is cooked, move it to the side of the pan, and sprinkle the flour in the fat, letting it toast for a minute. Add your seasonings and stir everything together, toasting spices for a minute. Add the milk. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, and then reduced to medium low to simmer. As it begins to thicken taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly. Pour over biscuits and enjoy!
