Our Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo is made with high quality Ohio-raised pork, Hot Paprika, Chipotle and Cayenne. We love Hoguera spread on baguettes or crackers, but Hoguera is also a wonderfully versatile pantry staple to add a sultry surprise to enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, queso dips and any other recipe calling for raw chorizo. Although Hoguera is ready to eat, browning it will deepen its savory flavor and make it easier to crumble for a topping.
Hoguera Tostada
- 1 Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo
- Corn tortillas
- Corn oil
- Roasted tomatillo sauce
- Pickled red onion slices
- Fresno (red, medium heat) chilis
- Tomatoes
- Queso Fresco (or finely shredded Mozarella or Taco cheese)
- Cilantro, chopped
- Brown tortillas in corn oil in hot pan until crispy. Set aside.
- Brown Hoguera and pour off fat.
- Top crispy tortillas with Hoguera, tomatillo sauce, slivers of pickled red onion, slivers of fresco chili, and diced tomatoes.
- Sprinkle queso fresco cheese on top and garnish with chopped cilantro.
